Systems administrator responsible for installation, management, and monitoring of Solaris systems and associated hardware/software for a national options market-maker, including working with trading exchanges in several different cities. In addition to my official duties as a Unix Admin, I routinely provide trading floor support which includes software and network troubleshooting, Windows desktop troubleshooting/support, and acting as a liaison between development staff and traders. I have also on occasion take on Oracle DBA responsibilities when needed, and provide operational support to any group requiring data backup/archival, job automation and scheduling, or nightly reporting.
